Can you believe that its less than 6 weeks already until this year is up? Frankly, I’m glad that it is though, I mean 2015 has been a rough year. In 2015 alone, life has been a whirlwind of ups and downs and I’m pretty sure it has been the same for you. I know for me 2015 was filled with 3 different jobs, unemployment, son was sick, fighting through first year of marriage, developing an online business, Bianca and I creating events and that’s just the half of it. This year, at times made me want to through in the towel and call it quits and that’s okay. If you haven’t found out already sometimes, that is going to happen. Life can sometimes get you so down where all you want to do is isolate and stay depressed. Even though we talk about living fearlessly that doesn’t mean life will be a piece of cake and a smooth walk. I want for you to know that even though life wants to kick you down. You can not quit or give up on your goals so we can be prepared for the new year and the new you. Here are the top three key points you need to do when you feel like you want to quit.
1) Take a break and get some rest
When you are at the verge of wanting to quite simply taking a step back can make a world of difference. When life gets beyond stressful it’s time to take a mini vacay and think about you. You might be like me where you take care of everyone else but you. What I love to do is to take a walk and enjoy the present moment. When in the present moment and not thinking about the past and future it helps for me to relax. Even something like our gratitude challenge can make a difference instantly.
2) Check all your options
Now it’s time to check all your options. In each situation there’s a choice on what you can control and your perspective of the situation. Even if it’s something as losing weight, it’s your choice whether to eat fruits and vegetables or the pizza. What you can control in this situation is your attitude towards vegetables. You can either have a nasty attitude and think it sucks or a pleasant attitude on how to get it to taste better. Writing down your options helps with not feeling Stuck which I give in more detail here. It’s time to write your choices down and choose which one works for you in this moment
3) Stay connected
It’s so important to stay connected with people you trust. Even if you have to pay to talk to someone to work through your issues don’t feel like you have to go through this alone. It’s about working together and staying connected to others to uplift you during the struggles. When you having feelings of wanting to quit call on your friends or family that have your best interest in heart.
