I love having simple styles to do for each season. Having an 18 month old tends to put me in a rush constantly with my hair. I have been so use to doing two strand twist and extravagant flat twist styles/updos that I forget about going back to the basics you know your buns, braids and ponytails. If you need more ideas with protective styles have you seen our latest post on protective style ideas. I mainly love keeping it simple when it comes to my hair. If I’m in a rush, the last thing I need to do is a hairstyle that will take me longer than 20 minutes if even that. What I love about the basic styles is the convenience it has with all being under ten minutes. This takes me back to one of my other style post on 11 Best Natural Styles for “Awkward” Stage that can give short hair naturalistas some more fab ideas. Here are your 5 basic styles that I’m loving:
Mini Marley does 3 basic styles that I absolutely love. Yes, it does say for graduation but these styles can be done at anytime. Mini Marley does the bun, side ponytail and my personal favorite the braid with marley hair. I love how each style can be done in less than 10 minutes with minimal effort. When I know I want to achieve a sleek pulled back style like this I usually do it after i wash my hair in the shower to get a sleek pulled back ponytail. I place a leave in conditioner then run my hair under the water quickly to place my hair in the ponytail. Once I finish this process I dry my ends with a microfiber towel or a cotton shirt for the excess water then begin to apply my gel. Your welcome to try this way or do the way marley shows you in the video. Each style you can do on your own hair or add marley hair. If you want to know what my favorite products (i.e leave in conditioners or gels) are you can find that here.
