Can you believe summer time is almost over? It’s a bliss feeling but dreadful feeling at the same time. Dreadful that it’s about to be fall soon so the cold is coming back. However, I’m a little excited the fact that it’s back to school time. I love my child but it’s time to go back to school and let mommy get some peace and quiet. I know there are a lot of naturalistas who have little girls who are in need of back to school styles that do no take forever right. I previously did 7 Children Natural Hair Styles in which a lot of you loved. You can check that out here. It’s time for an updated one and what better way to show you some children natural hairstyles than the first day of school. You can do these styles verbatim or use them as an inspiration to create your own. Also remember if you want to preserve the style you will need to have a good bedtime routine. Our bedtime routine post here can help you if your an adult or child. I notice for my child a satin pillow case works better because my child will not keep anything on his head. However, a bonnet could work better for you. Do a trial and error to see which method would works better with letting your child’s hair last longer.
1) Flat twist with Side Ponytail
IAMBSoUnique does a cute style that can be used on your child’s hair with a two strand twist going up the back with braids or two strand twist on the side for a cute side ponytail. If your having a struggle with two strand twist or cornrows you can learn how to do a flat two strand twist or cornrow here.
2) Bantu Knots with Two Strand Twist Out
Two strand twists with two bantu knots in the front. I love this style because it’s quick and easy. You can leave the two strand twist in for the week then let them loose the next to have this style last even longer.
3 & 4) Classic Bun and Bun with a Twist
Ms. Renee does the cutest Bun look on her girls which literally took less than 10 minutes to do. It’s sometimes unlikely that your child will stay still for a long period of time so having cute simple looks makes it so much easier for you and your child.
5 – 8) Cornrowed in the Front w/ Various Styles in the Back
NaturallyNat90 does her daughters hair with 4 cute styles that can easily be done in less than 10 minutes. You can do flat twists or cornrows in the front and easily begin to be creative with a bun, two buns, ponytail or crisscrossing and letting the back out.
9) Twist Out & Curled FroHawk
IAmawog does a beautiful forsook style with her daughters hair. She separates each part then does a two or 3 two strand twist throughout each section. Feel free to do as many as you would like to get the look that you want. After two strand twisting each one there was a perm rod that went on each one to get this curly frohawk look. Of course what better way to pull it all together than the cutest accessory.
