” Happiness isn’t having everything perfect, but looking beyond life’s imperfections”.
I think growing up seeing so many fairytales with the happily ever after or man swooping in and saving the day. It kind of had me thinking okay there might be a plot twist sometimes but life is suppose to be this perfect fairytale right? Well, if you haven’t figured it out yet no it is not. I’m coming to terms that hell no that isn’t true however I know it took me awhile to get to this point. The point where you can fully accept life is a journey. It’s so much more freeing to know that life is a journey of ups and downs versus thinking you automatically get to your destination then that’s it. I remember being in my early 20’s thinking that one day I’ll be married and have children than that will be my happily ever after. LOL i know now thinking about it all I can do is laugh out loud because once you get married that is hell of a lot of work to begin to become selfless and have unconditionally love then on top of that having children whew. I mean simply thinking about it makes me tired. I mean having 30 minutes by myself is a true blessing in this household. I know I’m not the only one that had this crazy fairytale view of what happiness was suppose to look like. I wanted to give you 9 quotes that have helped me understand that happiness is a choice and helped me to change my perspective.
