Can you believe it? We’re already 6 months into the New Year. 2016 is flying by. We haven’t done many product reviews lately, but they are forthcoming. In May I tried a lot of new products and some have made it on this list of favorite products for the month of May. All of the products listed below were used daily or weekly.
Hydratherma Naturals Moisture Boosting Shampoo
Last month was my first time using this product line and I must say I have fallen in love with this shampoo. It detangles, softens and hydrates my hair. This shampoo has great oils in it that give your curls a nice shine before the wash and makes your hair feel moisturized. You know how some shampoos feel like its stripping your hair of all of its nutrients; well this product definitely cleans you hair but it keeps the moisture in. Also, I love that this entire product line is geared toward restoring PH balance.
Hydratherma Naturals Moisture Boosting Deep Conditioning Treatment
This conditioner is amazing! It does exactly what the label says it’s going to do. The Moisture Boosting Deep Conditioning Treatment has a lot of great oils in it to replace natural oils lost and increase moisture levels in the hair and scalp; prevent breakage; restore elasticity; seals in moisture by returning the hair to its optimal 8% moisture level; and helps you grow healthy hair.
Africa’s Best Ultimate Herbal Oil
This has been a staple product for 10+ years. When I do a hot oil treatments (which is once every 3-4 months) before washing my hair I use this product. After saturating my hair with the oil, I cover my head with a disposable shower cap and then place a heated cap on for 10-15 minutes. Very moisturizing!
Farasue’s Garden Liquid Sunshine
I love to massage this product into my scalp as a daily refresher. The ingredients include: Grapeseed oil, Lemon, Lime, Sweet Orage, Grapefruit, and Lavendar essential oils. Not only does it freshen up my scalp but it also leaves my hair with a nice shine…hence the name Liquid Sunshine!
Camille Rose Naturals Curl Love Moisture Milk
This product was my staple Leave-in for the month of May. This was also my first time trying this product line. Y’all know I’m big on scents, and this products smells like heaven. I utilized this product daily to for shine and lasting moisture. This product also was the first I’ve utilized and noticed my hair didn’t shrink up as much as it normally does with other products. The Camille Rose Naturals Curl Love Moisture Milk definitely helped my dry hair and decreased frizz.
Camille Rose Naturals Curl Maker
This product right here is heaven sent! Let me tell you…Samantha has been raving about this product for awhile. I finally decided to give it a try and purchased it during one of our work-cations. I’m not a huge wash-n-go fan but I was open to doing more wash-n-gos and this product right here will have your curls slaying all day! No lie! It’s a great defining jelly that doesn’t leave your hair feelings crunchy and lifeless. My curls feel so soft, bouncy and moisturized with the Curl Maker. It too, has a great smell. The Camille Rose Naturals Curl Maker is definitely a staple for wash-n-gos.
Hair Veda Gellicious
I don’t think you’re ready for this Gelly…HA! I just couldn’t help myself. Moving on…Gellicious is great for Twist-outs and have become a staple product for the past 6-7 months. I have the most defined and moisturized twists with this product. It specializes in moisturizing dry hair and it definitely gets the job done. This gel isn’t like others in that it’s a cream-like kind of gel with nutrients in it not to just give us that hold we desire, but also to keep our strands healthy. Gellicious also gives my hair great shine.
Adiva Naturals Lusterizer
I absolutely love this product, so much so I did a review on it back in March. The Lusterizer is a great leave-in conditioner that leaves your hair looking, feeling and smelling great! Check out my review here.
