If you haven’t seen this video yet, please do check it out to see how a “beauty”expert was showing 60 second looks but didn’t go so well for the African American model shown in the video. I have to give it to the model because even though her hair looked a HOT MESS she still kept her composure and smiled throughout. When seeing this yes it did look a mess and as essence.com put it the beauty expert “manhandled” her hair. She combed the curls out too fast which is one of the big no no’s when having the curls in your hair. When not knowing how to deal with afro textured hair which is completely different from other textures it can be an easy mix up if you do not know what your doing.
When you really think about it I know i had a couple of moments in the beginning when going from relaxed to natural where I treated my hair the same way. We all have that moments of bad hair days whether your twist are not dry, your curls didn’t come out right, too busy, neglect or it basically can always be something that can make your hair not come out right some days. I want to give you a heads up in advance of what hair styles are your go to’s when it comes to a bad hair day so if you have a day like the model did you know exactly what to do so you do not have to panic.

Ms. Tapestre shows you can do a couple of quick fixes for medium to long natural styles with boppy pins and a scarf. Her first style is the faux bun when you can easily pin your hair up towards the top and fold your hair underneath all the way around to make a bun. In the next style she does a cute band and pins her hair to the side for a faux side bun. Another style was placing a faux bang to give your hairstyle a little jazz with a whole new look with a bang. In this look she put her ends folded up for the bang look. However, you can also fold them under to get a great look and pin the ends underneath. The last look is simply using a scarf to get a fabulous 50’s look that will be sure to stand out.
I don’t want any of you having to walk around with a bad hair day when you have these styles to always go too. If a hairstylist, your friend, family or anyone tries to mess up your hair pick the right style to always have as your back up.
