If you have read my earlier post when we first started I didn’t care for brushes. I thought all they did was pull my hair out but the real reason was my lack of trims which I talk about here. The right brush can make our break your hair so make sure to choose wisely. Luckily for you, I have done all the tiring hard work so you don’t have too. Now, i found that there are different brushes that take care of different needs. Through my new mission in finding the right brushes. I found my top 3 brushes that take care of different needs for my hair.
1) Denman Brush
Now, Denman brush is the brush that keeps my wash n go’s looking on point. It helps when my hair has slip and clumps my hair together to give me the curl defined look. I use the classic styling brush for me since I have thick hair. But, what i also love is how it clumps my son’s hair as well. Denamn Brush has a new children’s line that helps make my son’s wash n go’s pop. I make sure it’s wet with my Curls Blueberry Bliss Gel and begin to brush and it’s amazing how they instantly plump together. If you haven’t tried this brush make you get one. I talk about further how I detangle with the denman brush here
2) Felicia Leatherman brush
I have been seeing this brush everywhere lately on youtube and Instagram. i at first didn’t realize what’s the hype about this brush but lo and behold a brush that gives you the detangling for thick hair without all the breakage. YESSS!!! You can get it in either pink or black. This brush was best used for styles that required for me to get a smooth surface with no detangles that I can easily put my hands in my hair without it snagging. I’m talking about styles such as cornrows or flat twists that require to constantly have your hands in your hair while styling. This is not a brush if your looking to clump curls this is purely for getting your knots and tangles out. This helped me so much with making my flat twists smooth and keeping my perm rods or flexi rods on point. You can get yours here for the price of $14.
3) 100% Natural Boar Bristle Brush
The bristle brush is one of my longtime besties since it keeps my updos and sleek styles on point. These brushes you can easily find on Amazon or Target that can help you brush those frizzes down to keep your style lasting for days with the right gel. It’s important to see which bristle brush works for you some can be too hard that it does more breakage than help you in the long run. I try to look for one that is softer to the touch so it’s not too rough on my hair. If you have a favorite bristle brush let me know below.
Have you tried any of these brushes? If not, what do you use?
