I love trying new hairstyles and seeing what new hair innovations I can come up with. My most creative moments happen when I’m on the last days coming up to washday – when my wash n’ go isn’t looking how I want it to so it’s time for a change. I look in the mirror and say, “I got to do something with this hair,” as I pick through my hair and see which style will looks best. Ponytail? No. Bun? No. This time, I wanted to go with a simple style that didn’t take much time but can last me until I get time to wash my hair.
- For this style, I part my hair in the front where my flat twist would go on each side. You can pick your favorite side to place it on and flat twist each side.
- You need to wrap the twists that are left around your head and pin them on the bottom (back of your head so that it looks like a headband).
- The back of your hair make four loose large twists. The looser they are, the more volume you get. Cross the first two twists on top and pin. Next, take the bottom two twists, cross them and pin them towards the bottom of the top two twists. If your hair seems too flat, make sure to fluff the twist to give you more volume.
- Take extra bobby pins as needed to make the style come together. Add accessories like a flower or headband (as shown in the picture above)
Hope this helps. Let me know if it does below. If I need to make a video or a pictorial let me know below in the comments.
