If your looking for a sleek baby hair laid look for your twist, braids outs, twist out and sometimes even updos then edge control is your best bet. When we had our 1st annual Naturals Got Soul event (every August) we had Beautiful Textures support us with their Edges & Ends Silkener ( which we still appreciate and honored for them to be apart of our event). Any who, I never got to personally tell you my views about the product. Now first I want to make it clear that in no way is this a sponsored post nor was I asked to do a review. I wanted to simply share my honest views with my readers. I love sharing products that will give results and that are genuinely good products. Ok enough of my little spill lets get to the point. I sincerely enjoyed this product and let me tell you why
1) A little goes a long way
I dont know about you but I cant stand it when a product reads you only need a little, when really you need half the jar to get the results you want. If that happens you can already count me out. This product you actually only needed a little which is amazing. As soon as you take a pea size amount lay it on your edges then your ready to go. Does this surprise you as much as it does me ? I really didn’t have to use a brush which is astonishing. Anything that doesn’t require an extra step Im down for. I want to be clear I only used this part on my edges a.k.a where the baby hairs lay.
2) It lasted more than one day
Ive tried quite a bit of edge controls and I cant stand it when I have to reapply everyday. I should be able to put my scarf on at night wake up and edges are laid for a couple of days without me reapplying. Keeping it simple is what Im about I dont have
time for this reapplying mess that some of these gels have me doing. When I tell you that I didnt have to reapply for about 3 to 4 days with Beautiful Textures edge control. It gets me hype just thinking about it!
Now Beautiful Textures out did themselves with this one. How are you going to have edge control that you only need a little, last longer and keeps your hair moisturized. I could actually touch my hair and not feel like its a hard wall. My edges were so soft to the point where I had my hands in the hair syndrome every time I was in the mirror.

I’ve been trying to think of some cons for this product which has been a little challenging. If you place this gel on dry hair or kinky textures it might be more than a pea size amount. It wouldn’t be half the jar but you might need two to three pea size amounts versus one. This is not necessarily a severe con but wanted to make you aware of this. Overall, a great product to have nearby when you need it.
* This edge control worked best for me when my hair was damp.
* Even though you might not need a brush. Brushing over you’re edges once the gel is applied then immediately putting a scarf around it will give you the best results.
I always love to give credit where credit is due and Beautiful Textures you did your thing.
Have you tried this gel? How did it work for you?
