Ok, now let’s get into my favs for last month that are bae right now.
Felicia Letterwood brush
If you have not tried this brush you do not know what you have been missing. What I love about this brush is that it’s wide enough for the tangles to easily get through. I talked about this further in my top 3 natural hair brushes for natural hair. It helps when doing my two strand twists to make sure there are no tangles for a fly twist out or braid out. If you need tips for the flyest twist out look at our top post 6 Tips for Twist Out PERFECTION!. You can purchase a felicia leatherwood brush here
I am absolutely in love with gator clips. Have you had a situation where you’re sectioning off your hair but no clip would get your hair to stay put. Either my old fashion clips wouldn’t stay or the ponytail holder would take forever to put up and take down. It just gets too much right? Well, these clips hold a large amount of hair and doesn’t snag your hair at all. You can find them at your local Sally Beauty Supply store or on Amazon here.
I was not the biggest believer in co-wash before because it seemed as though the products I used for co-washing loosen my curls rather than defined them. Also, my hair just seemed dry with other co-wash conditioners. I don’t know if the sun was hitting me a little too much but my hair was in dying need of moisture after using certain cowash products. I finally found a cowash that defines my curls as much as it gives me moisture. This cowash has a good amount of slip to help with detangling my hair and putting moisture right back into my hair. You can purchase this at Sally Beauty supply or Amazon here.
I’m late with using natural hair shampoo bars? Natural hair shampoo bars seemed so complicated to me when it came to washing my hair. It shows detailed instructions on how to use it which is either wetting the bar or placing it against your edges. Another option or my simple way of using the bar is using a small bowl of water while placing the natural hair bar in there to let it soak a bit for about a minute before putting in your hair starting at the roots and working your way down. Either way, I make sure to focus on my scalp and I love that this product makes my hair feel clean without feeling stripped. This is one of my top favs so far and you can purchase the bar by clicking here.
Have you tried any of these products?
