Moisture! Have I been the only one constantly hearing this word it’s been a broken record in some instances in youtube videos and blogs. I’m not trying to bore you on the whole moisture spill. I want to give you quick tips on why I had to make moisture become one of my best friends. And I’m not talking about the friends who are here and there but the one you like to talk to and see daily.
As many of y’all can tell and probably know from my post, that my hair loves and craves moisture. Why you ask? When you become natural moisture is what prevents those damn fairy knots joining a large army on the ends of your hair, makes it soft to the touch and of course leads to healthy growing hair. Well, what I’m getting at is Moisture makes life a better place well for your hair in this incense lol
Some people are new or still learning the natural scene and I’m here to let you know why you need to make moisture your best friend too. Here are the top 3 reasons moisture is my best friend.
- Gives me more time for the important things in life– When your hair is moisturized, you only will have to deal with it maybe once every couple of days. Now this is only if you have a real good product or the perfect combination of products that you can last every couple of days. I know there are some people who need to moisturize daily. If that’s you keep doing what you’re doing. Even though it’s daily it shouldn’t take as much time to do. When you spend less time in your hair that means more time for your business, family, hobby, or that exercise you been meaning to try but haven’t started yet.
- Keeps my hair healthy- You doesn’t love a friend that can make sure you keep healthy. Moisture in my hair refrains me from hearing “Snap, Crackle or Pop” when I’m detangling my hair. Don’t you hate that sound “Snap, Crackle or Pop”sound I cringe even when I think about it. When the hair is moisturized you have an easier time finger combing and being able to style like you want. Easy finger combing/ Detangling +Moisture= Less Breakage 🙂 Less Breakage means keeping those fine –coarse strands of hair on top of your pretty head.
- Prevents Dryness- Ok maybe your friend won’t prevent your dryness unless your in need so some lotion. But I had to make sure I added this one in here. Dryness can be a pain in the butt especially when you want to rock that cute wash n go or full of life twist out. When your hair is in a protective style please pretty please remember to continue to moisturize. Even When your hair is out in a loose style remember to moisturize. Natural hair can naturally be dry and brittle without the use of products. Then on top of that there’s the use of heat, blow dryers, flat irons and excessive styling. Moisture is what smooth’s the cuticle and softens the hair. When you keep your hair moisturized it can lead to hair being shiny with use of the right products like your oils and butters. Dry hair means limiting excessive shedding and improving hydration.
Moisture and I are always going to be best friends. Did I miss something why is moisture your best friend?
